Oftentimes you might you might run into issues submitting reports to EAD. Here are a few scenarios and how to resolve them:
Initial submission must include an APPRAISAL_1 file
This error appears when you try to submit a 1004D and there is NO 1004 submitted to EAD first. Please note that EAD does NOT allow submitting 1004Ds by themselves. 1004Ds MUST be submitted to their original appraisal.
If you have already submitted the 1004 via the system then,
1. Go to the original order
2. Copy the EAD Doc File ID (under the Loan # field)
3. Go back to the 1004D
4. Edit
5. Paste the Doc File ID copied above into the Doc File ID field
6. Save
7. Resubmit the report via Submitted for QA
8. Approve the report
If you have already submitted the 1004 MANUALLY,
then your only option is to turn off EAD on the 1004D and submit the report manually to EAD on the existing order.
